Killer Diamonds by Rebecca Chance

After decades in the spotlight as an Oscar-winning film star and famous beauty, Vivienne Winter is one of the most recognizable women on the planet. When she decides to auction her multimillion dollar jewellery collection for charity, there's no shortage of people eager to buy a piece of her incredible history.

Young, ambitious Christine Smith is a jewellery expert working for a centuries-old auction house. But in a world of aristocratic snobs, her working-class origins are holding her back. She's desperate to secure the sale of Vivienne Winter's gem collection: it's set to be the biggest auction since Elizabeth Taylor's. However, meeting the Hollywood star is just the first hurdle Christine has to jump.

Vivienne's handsome, spoilt and sexy playboy grandson Angel is the heir to her fortune. The anger and resentment he feels towards his grandmother for selling what he'd counted on as one day being his inheritance sets in motion a series of events with deadly consequences. Angel is totally unscrupulous, and no one will emerge from his plotting unscathed. For it seems that family secrets cut sharper than diamonds . . .

I am not a big fan of Bonk Buster books but one authors books I can’t resist are Rebecca Chance, I have read every one of her books and have loved each and every one so I couldn’t wait to begin Killer Diamonds and I am thrilled with the new cover as I wasn’t a fan of the Mile High cover.

The prologue instantly grips the reader’s attention when we meet Angel and Vivienne in a shocking situation but we are left hanging in the moment when the book then moves back to the earlier years of Vivienne in her acting days. The storyline revolves around Vivienne’s exquisite jewellery collection which she is putting to auction and Christine is eager to be the one to host the auction believing that she can make the auction a great success. Sex obsessed Angel has his own agenda when it comes to the jewellery and he don’t care who he hurts along the way.

We have three main characters in this book Vivienne the classy glamorous film star, her immoral grandson Angel and Christine the plain girl next door who is a gemologist whose life literally turns upside down when she meets Vivienne. Each of these characters are extremely well developed and each bring something completely different to the storyline, Vivienne has tales to tell from her adventurous years in the limelight and she seems pretty wise too. Christine is a character who I instantly warmed to, she is your average woman who is extremely passionate about her job and at first she seems a tad naive but she soon shows her true colours. Angel brings the scandal, the steaming sex scenes and the tension to the storyline. There are also a large amount of supporting characters too all who helped add to the glamorous and sexual feel to the storyline.

As ever Rebecca Chance has delivered another well detailed storyline from the descriptions of these valuable and exquisite jewels to the in-depth sexual antics that will leave you more than  a little hot under the collar so this one isn’t for the prudish and maybe not one to read on the train on the commute to work!

Rebecca Chance always manages to create intense sex scenes that she weaves so perfectly around a gripping storyline getting the balance spot on which I haven’t found in similar authors books. I think the author has delivered another steamy scandalous read that had me gripped from beginning to end.

Bad Sisters by Rebecca Chance

Three ambitious, rivalrous sisters. And a deadly secret, which one of them is determined to keep buried at any cost ...
Deeley is the fake wife of a Hollywood TV hunk, who is secretly gay. But Deeley's five-year contract is up, and his cut-throat publicist wants Deeley out. So, dejected and penniless, Deeley wends her way home to London, hoping to re-establish links with her two estranged elder sisters ...
Devon is married to the nation's-favourite-rugby-hunk Matt, and has her own highly successful TV career, as the sexy hostess of her own cookery show. But behind her buxom facade, Devon is lonely and frustrated, and when a live celebrity cook-off shows her up as a fraud, she leaves sweet Matt and runs off to Tuscany, to learn a few lessons - not just in cookery - from an Italian master.
Lastly, there's Maxie: a politician's wife, Maxie is fiercely ambitious. She's furious when Deeley, hard on her luck, sells the sisters' childhood story to a tabloid newspaper, revealing their impoverished roots and unsavoury parentage. The story undermines Maxie's carefully cultivated image, and the fallout threatens to be devastating. But Maxie is only too aware that there is much more Deeley could yet reveal.
What murderous secret lies in the sisters' past?
And just how far will Maxie go to keep it buried?

I am a huge Rebecca Chance fan and for me she is an author who I can’t compare to any other and I have read and loved every one of her books other than Bad Sisters and I don’t know how on earth I missed this one because I have heard the title and seen the cover but when reading the synopsis it didn’t ring any bells so on my travels back from a week away I brought myself a copy and started on it as soon as I got home, that was 5 hours ago and I have just finished!

The storyline follows three sisters, Deeley, Devon and Maxie. The book opens in 1993 when they were only young girls faced with an unspeakable situation that could put the girls in a tremendous amount of trouble if anyone became aware of it so the girls swore never to speak of the events of that day again. Fast forward eight years and the sisters have left the past in the past and carved out a successful life for each of them, Devon is a presenter on her cooking show and married to the gorgeous Matt the rugby player, Deeley is living it up in LA and dating the famous Nicky even if all is not what it seems and Maxie is married to Olly who is a politician but it is Maxie who has control of everything. But can the past really stay hidden or are hidden secrets always going to end up coming back to haunt them?

This was such an addictive read that was impossible to put down. The chapters alternate between each of the sisters which helped me to build an accurate picture of each of them. Each of the women were so different they were easy to differentiate and they all intrigued me. I warmed more to Deeley as she had a slight vulnerability to her and she doesn’t seemed to have grown up and found her way in life not knowing what she really wants to do. Devon brought out mixed emotions in me in one instance I felt sorry for her and could relate to a part of her so I felt like I connected to her but then in the next instance I felt myself disliking her as she seemed very self-centred. Then we have Maxie who seemed like a very ambitious and controlling character that had a cold and suspicious feel to her I just seemed wary of her character from the first chapter and this intensified as the book progressed.

As ever there are some real steamy sex scenes and yet again Rebecca has written these scenes with such ease and they weave into the storyline perfectly.  Rebecca Chance has such a skill when it comes to descriptive writing from the saucy scenes to the various locations no matter how briefly the characters were there such as when Deeley jetted off to Jersey I felt like I was on the gorgeous Island luxuriating in the calm and idyllic spa!

This was another 5* read for me Rebecca Chance never disappoints.

Mile High by Rebecca Chance

Today it is my stop on the Mile High blog tour where I will be sharing my review of this steamy and scandalous read that is one not to be missed. Be sure to stop by the other blogs on the tour too.

My Review

As soon as Mile High arrived I couldn’t wait to get started and so I put my current read aside and delved into this latest book by one of my favourite authors Rebecca Chance, what I didn’t expect was to finish this hefty book of 482 pages in one sitting! I missed dinner so at least it helped the diet!

This time the storyline is set onboard the brand spanking new Pure Air’s new LuxeLiner which if I am completely honest worried me a little, it is a good job I have faith in this authors books because I coundn’t see how the author was going to create enough drama and tension on board a plane for 482 pages without my interest starting to waiver but once again Rebecca Chance has given us a twisted and dramatic read with her signature steaming sex scenes which had me hooked the whole way through.

We join the crew and VIP’s in first class on the first ever flight on board the new plane and it is clear from the start that this is going to be an eventful flight when we are made aware that singer Catalina is going to be flying with them but she is going through a very disturbing and trying time, a stalker has been getting a little too close but surely they wouldn’t make it onto this exclusive plane with her?

I loved the suspense that the author managed to create surrounding this dark and disturbing stalker, knowing they were on board I thought I knew who it was only then for another chapter to pass which then found me suspecting someone else and when everything was finally revealed I was completely baffled and couldn’t believe I hadn’t seen it coming!

The authors scandalous and sizzling scenes are back again and I did actually find myself chuckling away in one of the scenes. I love how easy the flow of these scenes are to read, yes they are graphic so if you are not one that likes to read sex scenes then this won’t be the book for you but personally I love it because it fits right in with the storyline and it is what I come to expect from a Rebecca Chance book alongside the Glitz, glamour and scandal.

I personally didn’t feel we needed the part with Justin ( sorry folks can’t say more than that as I don’t want to give a spoiler) especially because he didn’t play a big part in the storyline,I think this part will be easily forgettable as there was already enough drama surrounding the Stalker and Angela’s little stumble but that is just my opinion.

There is a diverse range of characters to get your head around in this book but it doesn’t take long to differentiate between the characters. Catalina is our main focus and she is a little slip of a thing but she seems to have a kind heart and a big talent oh and a strong, dishy knockout of a bodyguard!
I have to admit I am not a fan of the cover of this book, it seems a little bland for the compelling storyline that it holds but then I was always going to be hard to please as the signature shoe covers were always firm favourites of mine and ones that always stood out on the shelves.

This was another fabulous read by Rebecca Chance, dramatic, scandalous and saucy not one to be missed.

Bad Brides by Rebecca Chance

Good brides promise to obey.
Bad brides wouldn't dream of it…
Milly Gamble is an up-and-coming actress, and the perfect English flower child. At 23, she's always been cast as the innocent heroine. But looks can deceive. Calculating and fiercely ambitious, Milly is determined to be the most famous star in England. And how better to achieve her goal than by dating Tarquin Ormond, lead singer of the biggest folk band of the moment? Tarquin is madly in love with Milly; Milly is only in love with herself.

Brianna Jade is an all-American pageant girl. The daughter of Tamra Maloney, a stunning billionairess, Brianna is a sweet, pretty girl who is more than happy to go along with her mother's ambitious plans for her. Now Tamra's brought her to the UK and hooked her up with an Earl. He has a crumbling stately home and needs a rich wife to help restore it to its former glory. Tamra is as ambitious and determined as Brianna is sweet and innocent - is this more a case of mother-in-law-zilla than bridezilla?

Both Milly and Brianna's upcoming weddings will be huge, lavish events that garner national press. But with the cover of the biggest magazine in the country to be won, things are about to get very dirty…

I am due to get married in June this year so at the moment I cannot stop reading Wedding themed books so when I was looking on Netgalley and came across Bad Brides by Rebecca Chance I had to request it as I love this author’s book and as a bonus it is about brides!

With the front cover of a new magazine needing a bride for the first issue, two beautiful brides are up for the running, but being brides are the only thing that these two ladies have in common as they couldn’t be more different and they are both hopeful to get their face on the front of that cover!

Milly is an up and coming actress who will do anything to further her career including marrying a band member Tarquin. Brianna Jade hasn’t always had a glamorous life but with her mums determination she is now about to marry an Earl.
With both Weddings looming which Brie will make it on that front cover?

Before I gush over how great this book is, I first have to point out the stunning cover, as with all of Rebecca Chance covers they are sporting a divine pair of shoes and along with the light and fresh colours used this is sure to be one to lure you from the shelves.

Now I can Gush away! How different this is to the wedding themed books I have read recently! This book is full of very strong and ambitious women who will do whatever it takes to get where they want to be. There are no fluffy lovey dovey brides in this book!

There is drama, scandal and copious amount of sex. Now this book is by no means tame so if you don’t like a bit of rough and ready detailed sex scenes then you are not going to enjoy this book. I have heard this book called “steamy” that is not personally how I would describe it I would say it damn right filthy but fabulously fun! This book definitely see’s the authors writing and her naughtiest.

The sex scenes work well with this storyline and I definitely found myself hooked. In some respect parts of the book were predictable but equally there were enough shocking surprises to make up for it.

There is a great deal of descriptive writing in this book which really set the scene perfectly so you could really visualise everything. This was a great read that I thoroughly enjoyed although I do hope it is nothing like the lead up to my big day!

Killer Queens by Rebecca Chance

Lori is a beautiful, blonde, all-American athlete. When the charismatic ruler of a small, filthy rich European state asks for her hand, she thinks she's snagged Prince Charming. But she soon realizes that all that glitters is not gold...

Belinda was once the most recognized and loved princess in the world. Forced to stage her own death, she lives incognito abroad with her adoring royal lover. Now, she is determined to return to England to see her son Hugo wed, even if it means risking her own life.

Chloe, Prince Hugo's fiancée, is the archetypical English rose. But it's a long road to becoming a princess, even when you're dating the heir to the throne. Perhaps the fairy-tale ending isn't all it was cracked up to be...

I only read my first book by Rebecca Chance last year but I enjoyed it so much I have been working my way through all her books, I can’t believe what I have been missing out on!

Killer Queens is Rebecca’s new release and one I was not completely sure of as I am not one who has any interest in the Royals but I was hoping the authors writing style would shine through and grab my attention and get me hooked!

The three main ladies in this book are all very different but all are facing or have faced the same situation. Each of the characters were well developed making them easy to tell apart and a joy to read, I didn’t even have a favourite between these Choe, Lori and Belinda as they were all wonderful in their own way, Belinda because she was so caring and protective, Chloe because she was from lower class and was your average girl and yet found herself marrying into royalty but yet not letting it change her personality other than the problematic beauty regimes! Lori was a strong character who would not turn a blind eye to things when she was not happy with things. As with the beginning of all Rebecca Chance books it does take a little while to be introduced to each character and begin to establish who is who and how they will be connected but it is all worth the wait believe me.

If you are looking for a light breezy read then please don’t look here! This is full on steamy sauciness with a big helping of scandal thrown in to keep you hooked! The hot sexy scenes in this book is not brushed upon it is a full on bonkbuster, but it is in fitting with the storyline so it is appropriate ( or so I keep telling myself hehe!)

I think this could possibly be my favourite book by Rebecca Chance, it took a subject matter that is not of interest to me and yet turned it around and sparked my interest. This book has a great storyline, a small helping of suspense, a touch of humour, and an enormous helping of steamy scenes, and not forgetting fabulous characters. An easy 5* rating for me as I couldn't put it down!

Killer Heels by Rebecca Chance

This is the first book by Rebecca Chance that I have read. I have been meaning to read one of Chance’s books for a while now after reading some great reviews about her previous books so when I was sent her latest book Killer Hells to review I couldn’t wait to get started but lets justsay it was not what I was expecting!

Coco is just your average girl but very ambitious, when she lands a job working for the well known Victoria Glossop at a top Uk Fashion magazine her whole life turns upside down.

When Victoria manages to bag the job she has always dreamed of in New York Coco is flown out to join her but will Coco be able to climb the career ladder and will Victoria be able to hold onto her dream job?

This book is action packed there is so much going on and you never quite know what the next chapter will bring. I was engrossed in the storyline from the first chapter and I didn’t put it down and so I ended up finishing it in a day.

There are so many characters in this book and even the character that we only meet a handful of times have been developed well, there are characters you love and some you hate and others you are not quite sure until the twists start to occur.

There were many unpredicted twists and turns in this book and the suspense that was created in this book had you on the edge of your seat as there was no way of predicting what could happen next, but one thing I never expected was the hot and steamy sex scenes this definitely gives Fifty Shades a run for its money! I didn’t find the sex scenes crude they were in context with the characters and the storylines surrounding them but they definitely left you hot under the collar!

With the story set in and around the fashion world there is plenty of glitz and glamour and rivalry so if you are looking for a compelling read that is stylish and steamy this is definitely your next read.
